My pre retired life as a B-777 captain did not prepare me for the daunting task of closing out a sibling’s estate. Most of the things that have to be accomplished are straight forward until you get to the multiple options of disposing of real estate. Having never heard of auctioning a house to settle out an estate and after investigating with a long suffering period, self serving real-estate agents promising pots of gold if they were allowed to represent the sale. It became apparent that the most efficient way to conclude the house disposal was by auction. After interviewing multiple auction companies and on the recommendation of previous clients and our estate attorney, the Montgomery firm was selected. This turned out to be my very best decision. They did all the heavy lifting achieving a price that greatly exceeded my expectations. The efficiency of their staff was extraordinary and were genially nice people. There were frequent calls, texts and things to enhance and consider. Flying to Nashville wanting to see the “end game,” was in itself something to behold. Efficient is an understatement, the set, up sale, court representation was comprehensive. None of my questions were too many. The time to explain the process with me was done eagerly to ensure I understood the procedures. Carl and his brother Charlie and their extraordinary staff become trusted family.
